The Gift of Prophecy
by Niki Collins Queen
A friend told me about a man who has an amazing gift of prophecy. Because he lives in Ohio and my friend lives in Georgia she spoke with him on the phone. After giving only her name she was stunned when he “knew” not only her life story but also about the living and deceased people in her life.
The handful of psychics I’d experienced were fun but spoke in generalities so the information was not really verifiable.
When I read Thomas Windlow’s business card I became even more curious. He is director of the Mysical Wind Spiritual Center in Sharonville, Ohio and calls himself a medium clairvoyant. I decided to talk with him.
I got an appointment with him the same afternoon and was told I would receive an audio tape of the reading afterwards.
Windlow introduced himself in a firm yet gentle voice. He said he started each “reading” with a prayer so there would be a few moments of silence. Although his prayer was to Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit he said he accepts all faiths.
I closed my eyes and tightened my grip on the phone during the silence. I breathed a sigh of relief when he began to speak. “I got quite a lot on you,” he said warmly. “I’ll talk first and you can ask questions later.”
“You’re going on a trip! I see you on an airplane,” he said with enthusiasm. “It’s going to be good. You’ll be surrounded by beauty.
“We’re going to Alaska,” I blurted.
You’re also going on a little branch trip—I see you visiting two places.”
“We’re not planning on going anywhere else, “ I said quizzically.
“Oh yes you are!” he said emphatically.
We later learned he was correct. We flew on military planes and spent a week in California waiting for a flight home.
“I see a healing type energy around you,” he began again. “What’s your husbands name?
“Bud!” I was impressed as I’d not mentioned my husband.
“He has a strong determined energy field. He is a leader in this lifetime. You both have strong energy.”
I swallowed hard. “How did he know?”
There was silence. “He works with water,” Windlow continued.
“Bud’s passion is cleaning up watersheds,” I said reeling with astonishment.
“Yes” Windlow said softly, “He’s a voice for the earth. The angels tell him what’s wrong in nature.”
He was silent again. “I see a soul mate chord. You are best friends and work as a team. You’ve been together at least five life times.” Windlow paused. “He accepts and understands you.”
My face flushed. “Yes,” I stammered in surprise.
“Do you have a grandmother who has crossed over?”
I shot upright in my chair. “Yes—she died when I was 18. We were very close.”
“She’s standing behind you. Did you just have a birthday?”
My jaw dropped. “Yes”
“She wishes you Happy Birthday.”
My heart leapt as tears of joy welled up.
“She says she watched over you as a child.”
I smiled broadly. “I lived with her until age seven.”
“She’s still looking out for you. She helped a lot of other people—and she continues to do so now. She has a beautiful healing energy. She is watching over your mother now.”
I blinked with surprise. “My mother has dementia.”
“Your grandmother sends love towards you.”
“There are lots of children around you,” he said warmly.
“Yes—I counseled children for 20 years at a Mental Health Center.”
“You’ve helped a lot of people. You’re also a teacher.”
Bud and I were so impressed by Windlow we attended a one-day healing workshop with him in Alabama.
Windlow gave all 30 participants a message from a loved one who had passed on. It was the highlight of the workshop. He accurately described each person on the other side and mentioned things about their relationship nobody else knew. We were stunned.
I was surprised when Bud asked to hear from his father. Bud had told me he has no interest in talking with the dead—especially his neglectful alcoholic father.
“Your father has a lot of regrets,” Windlow told Bud. “He’s sorry he neglected the family.”
Windlow closed his eyes. “Did he die from a heart attack?”
Bud’s eyebrows shot up in surprise. “Yes, he was only 54,” he said sadly.
Your father is holding a cigarette.
“He’s probably got a beer in the other hand,” Bud said with a laugh.
“Your father says his early death was a surprise—he wasn’t ready to go. He’s watching over your mother now.”
Bud gaped wide-eyed. He later told me that it was a comfort to hear that his father was with his mother as she is in her 90s now.
Each of the 30 workshop participants received a message from a loved one who had passed on.
Each person on the other side was accurately described and things were mentioned about their relationship nobody else knew. We were stunned.
Although souls on the other side don’t need to eat, smoke or drink they sometimes carry the things they enjoyed when alive. They are both male and female.”
Some people got a message from more than one loved one. There were so many people on the other side that wanted to talk with us.
My grandmother came through again at my request. I was mystified. She was holding a doll. I jumped reflexively when I suddenly remembered. She gave me a large rag doll she’d made to look like me when I went to live with my mother. “Niki I’m going to miss you,” my grandmother said in a voice etched with sorrow.
My face flushed with pleasure. I’d not felt my grandmother’s presence in a long time. But here she was again. It was a joyous reunion.
The accuracy rate was close to 100% that day. We were amazed at the tears, shock and awe of the participants .
The gift of prophecy is a gift that keeps on giving.Bud accepted and forgave his father and my grandmother is back in my life. It is a comfort to learn that we are never alone and that our loved ones are safe in the hands of God.
It validated and helped us see our divine purpose—how Bud and I are partners in the protection all of God’s creation. It also helped us deepen our capacity to pray and feel more connected to spirit and less to the material world.
We learned to see more clearly—that we are part of a larger universe and that our purpose is to learn unconditional love, compassion and understanding. Most of all that what we desire can be ours—we just need to ask.
A couple of people in Georgia expressed concern about me attending this workshop with Thomas Windlow, www.thomaswindlow.com, and quoted Bible passages from Leviticus and Deuteronomy that say a person who talks to spirits should be stoned. When I looked at the quotes in context I discovered that people who commit adultery, disobey or curse their parents, work on Sunday, cut their hair or beard, wear tattoos or mixed yarn should also be stoned. That means most Americans would be executed.
Thank God Jesus replaced the Old Testament’s mandate of an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth with the doctrine of unconditional love. Jesus told his disciples to allow others to perform miracles in his Name as miracles cannot be performed without prayer and fasting. (Mark 9-29-40)
